About Slack Water Press
Slack Water Press is an independent niche publisher, what the industry calls a micro publisher. We use new technology, plus old-fashioned know-how, to publish quality books at a competitive price. Most publishing tasks, such as editing and layout, are handled in-house. Covers are contracted out to graphic designers. Our books our printed by Lightning Source and distributed by Amazon and other on-line outlets.
At Slack Water Press, we have two main areas of interest (or expertise): books about American literature, especially those directed at a general audience, such as Origins of the American Short Story; and books about the sea, especially those about sailing or cruising, such as The Cruise of the Jest.
